A raucous display of pom-poms and chants won Montclair Robotics the Team Spirit Award at the FIRST Mid-Atlantic District Championship, the school’s first honor in a regional robotics final since 2010.
After making it to the semi-finals for the second straight district event, Montclair Robotics has racked up enough points to qualify for the Mid-Atlantic District Championship in the coming week.
The First Robotics Competition kicks off on Saturday Jan. 7 with the official unveiling of this year’s challenge.
After another thrilling day of competition, Montclair secured its place in the New Jersey state finals by again finishing on the winning alliance.

Montclair High School’s robotics season got off to a perfect start when the team won first place in its inaugural FTC match of the year, as well as the award for Outstanding Autonomous.

The team took part in Montclair High School’s Team and Club fair on Sept. 28. The team was eager to speak to students about robotics and signed up 48 students eager to find our more about the team.
The MHS robotics team had fun at the Montclair sidewalk sale on Sept. 17-18 selling tickets for the “Spare Parts” movie fundraising event. They were stationed outside the Bellevue theater, which hosted the movie event. The team members enjoyed chatting with people (and reptiles) of all ages about robotics.
